"Recorded in just about one sitting on octave mandolin and every instrument I had to hand in a regenerated Clay Factory and with the aid of Emilija's magestic Kanklės playing. I had always intended for If It Helps to be the hidden postcard on this record, the one so personal that I wouldn't send".

Instead, it sits as the linchpin of the whole album, the most accessible song, despite it dealing with the tangled duality of finding the purest love imaginable whilst watching someone close to you lose their own battle with themselves and their illness.
